Crimped hair

While rummaging through some stuff in my old bedroom at mum's recently, I found a picture of a 16 year old me with crimped hair.  I remember that back then, I used to crimp my hair whenever I went out and I loved it.  I think the first person I ever saw with crimped hair was Kate Bush and I was delighted when my mum said she could re-create the look for me using a crimper.  I didn't even know such things existed.  I had my cheap and cheerful set of crimpers for years and they never failed me.
